Caturra and Colombia
For the Colombia wild coffee uses Arabica beans of the Caturra and Colombia varieties. The coffee cherries come from the Nariño region, on the border with Ecuador, where the coffee is cultivated by a group of small farming families at altitudes of 2,200 m. After harvesting, the coffee cherries are washed, processed and then sun-dried.
Washed prepared
During wet processing, the coffee cherries are first removed from the pulp. They are then stored in water tanks so that the last remains of the pulp are removed. After a second pass with fresh water, sun drying takes place with repeated turning. Wildkaffee refines the Arabica beans with a medium degree of roasting. This provides the sweet, creamy taste with notes of brittle.
