New to the 2021 / 22 model of the Acaia Lunar is the Real Time Flow Rate Indicator. This enables the flow rate to be monitored during the espresso shot without having to do the math yourself. In this way, even small errors are detected more quickly. In addition, the new model can save tare values, for example to store the weight of the preferred dosing container and thus have a decisive positive influence on the work flow. The new model also uses a USB-C connection.

Take your espresso brewing skills to a new level with the Acaia Lunar Black precision scale. This premium product measures to an accuracy of 0.01 g, allowing you to precisely fine-tune your coffee specialties. The dimensions of the scale are very compact, so it can also be used directly under the outlet of the portafilter machine. Thanks to the built-in, optionally switchable timer, the throughput time of the espressi can be tracked and an optimal extraction time of 24 seconds can be achieved without using an additional stopwatch. The scale starts measuring as soon as the first drop touches the cup. In addition, the scale is waterproof, so there is no risk of damaging this important tool, even in hectic operation.

Technically and optically a pioneer

The high-quality aluminum housing with a matt black finish provides a good contrast to the white digital display and thus the best readability. The Bluetooth function is also particularly practical, which enables the use of the Acaia app and thus the collection of data for the evaluation of the best results. The measuring range starts at 0.1g and ends at 2kg. To ensure that the measurements are always accurate, a 100g calibration weight is included in the scope of delivery, as well as a USB-C charging cable and a black heat protection mat. The battery of the scale needs to be recharged after about 20-30 hours of use.
